History

The history of SoftServe University goes back to 2004, when an idea of establishing a center for preparation of junior specialists for the company was conceived. The institution was known under the name of “Training Center”. The idea was mainly dictated by the need to eliminate a considerable gap between the level of professional preparation of University graduates and the existing requirements to SoftServe employees.

In February 2005 the first pilot group started its educational process. The experiment proved to be successful and in June 2005 two parallel groups began their preparatory course using newly created programs based on the programming languages C# and JAVA.

In September 2006 a new structure, called SoftServe University, combining Microsoft IT Program, SoftServe IT Academy Program and SoftServe Language School was established. The first group of students doing Microsoft IT Academy course began studies in November 2006.

In the nearest future Certification Center is to be opened where specialists will have a possibility to prove their qualification and pass the tests for the status of a Microsoft Certified Professional.
