All tests are taken in English.
Before Exam
- While applying to the Certification Centre you should know exactly what exam you are interested in. More information on certification, trainings and available courses can be found on the appropriate exam vendor’s site (Exam Vendors).
- Fill in the registration form (click the ‘Exam Registration Form’ at the bottom of the page). If you take the exam with the Pearson VUE or the Prometric certification centre for the first time, pay attention to your personal information (address and phone numbers). This information will be used by the exam provider and vendor to contact you.
- You should arrive at the testing centre 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This extra time will give you an opportunity to sign in the necessary forms.
- Before being allowed to enter the testing room, you will be required to show two forms of identification, both must have your signature, and one of the two must have your photo.
- If you failed to arrive at the scheduled appointment time the exam fee is not refundable. Besides, every attempt costs money not depending on the results of the exam. All this makes you take a reliable approach to the exam procedure, prepare carefully and be attentive while making an order.
- Before taking a test you should get familiar with Pearson VUE Candidate Rules Agreement or Prometric Testing Center Regulations depending on the provider you have chosen for taking an exam. Before and during the exam you will be monitored by the certification centre Administrator.
- If your exam provider is Pearson VUE, the exam may be rescheduled without additional payment if you contacted the certification centre at least one business day prior to your exam appointment. In case of Prometric it is not allowed to reschedule the exam.
During the Exam
Exams are taken in a specially equipped room. While you are in the testing room you should comply with the following rules:
- You are not allowed to talk with other candidates, turn to their screens, exam materials or notes.
- You are not allowed to use notes, printed materials or any other assistants. You should ask the Administrator if this is an exception.
- You are not allowed to use portable computers, palmtops, or programmable calculators. Personal items, such as food, drinks, purses, briefcases, cellular phones, and pagers are not allowed in the testing room.
- You are not allowed to recopy test questions and/or test answers, take them out of the testing room.
- You are not allowed to use a dictionary. If you have questions about the exam, you must contact the test Administrator.
After the Exam
- When you finish your exam click the ’End Exam’ button and raise your hand to signal the Administrator. At the end of the exam you will be given the score report that is printed automatically after you press the ‘End Exam’ button and regardless whether you pass the exam or not.
- Welcome kits are not shipped automatically. To receive a paper certificate you should contact your certification vendor. For example, in case of successful Microsoft exam passing, you will receive an email from Microsoft inviting you to join the MCP Member site. Then you must confirm your address and activate your certificate shipment from the Microsoft Certification member site.
- Each exam vendor specifies its own policy about exam retaking. Mostly some waiting period is imposed between exam retakes to limit a candidate’s exposure to exam content and discourage memorization of content.
Good Luck!
