Eighteen skillfully instructed SoftServe Training Center graduates got a distinction of finishing their study last month. For three months in a row they had been broadening their knowledge in modern information technologies by means of C++ and had been getting acquainted with SoftServe life style.
Only twenty one participants out of a hundred volunteers were admitted to study at SoftServe Training Center. After one month introductory course the students took an interim competence test which determined the eighteen trainees, who were to continue their studies. Sixteen learners graduated successfully. The completion entailed a personal report in the form of a presentation about your experience and responses to somewhat tricky questions by the competent jury including the president of SoftServe Taras Kytsmey.
The participants were pleased with the opportunity of 3-months intensive learning and marked out that the training was very informative and thorough.
Andriy Vas’kiv, one of the first graduates of the Training Centre:
My expectations of this study have been exceeded by far. We learned the things we would use in practice, at work. In fact we’ve studied much more than at the University. And besides, the work: we’ve learned to work in a team which is hardly taught at any University.
Oleh Mereshchuk, one of the first graduates of the Training Centre:
The Training Centre was stimulating me. Andriy Pereymybida was lecturing, teaching the material, pushing the learning process itself. We were trying to improve the things known but the focus was put on things we didn’t know. Andriy Pereymybida tried to create a friendly atmosphere in classes; if any question arose, he would always come up, helped us understand the most complicated things, showing in which direction to move further. I liked the way the lecturer conducted the classes.
Iryna Atamanova, one of the first graduates of the Training Centre:
During our study at the Training Center we learned a lot of new information. Here we were provided with much more knowledge than at the University ”L’vivska Polytehnika”. The curriculum included the exact material required as you apply for a job. The classes and seminars of the Training Center were designed to match our knowledge level and we enjoyed that much. Andriy Pereymybida taught naturally and comprehensibly. We got acquainted with software, experienced teamwork, and ”discovered” our potentials.
Andriy Pereymybida, the manager of the Training Center:
I feel happy for my first graduation. It was both exciting and at the same time hard to work with the participants, since they were not just schoolchildren, not simply students, but the best of the candidates selected through the harsh competition. The first graduation from the Training Centre is difficult for many reasons: this is the program which has to stand the test of time and besides late hours of work mode and not quite elaborated criteria concerning the ideal graduate known on the mere intuition level. Nevertheless, I believe that our learners succeeded! I wish them future professional growth and rapid promotion at our company! I hope our future trainings will be better every time and therefore our Training Centre is open for constructive criticism and is looking forward to any relevant advice from our colleagues.
All the first time graduates are working at SoftServe. The Training Center itself won’t be empty since the participants are being enrolled in two new groups aimed at learning the technologies via two languages: C++ and C#. And the work with a new participants’ enrollment will have been in its full swing by the late June.
